MEET OUR VETS
Dr. Blythe Hayes is the proud owner of Sound Veterinary Hospital. SVH was established in January 2020 after the retirement of Dr. Barry Welch and the business closing of the Animal Hospital of Nags Head. Think of all of the pets that have graced our doors since 1988! SVH has grown to a three-doctor practice with the addition of Dr. Jennifer Moore and Dr. Julie Bell. Sound Veterinary Hospital would love the opportunity to be the family doctor(s) for your pets and hopes to create a hospital environment that brings compassionate care to pets and their people.

OUR LILY CAT
Lily is our in-house resident cat and she is oh-so-ready for her closeup. She is the employee of the month, every month. Her duties include emotional support for the staff, sunbathing and looking beautiful.

I have 5 dogs that are under their care. Have been coming here from VA--- that is how good they are. I have yet to find a group in my area that I feel as comfortable with. Dr. Hayes is my primary and is an excellent vet--- so knowledgeable, compassionate and down to Earth. I recently saw Dr. Moore, a sad day having to put my beloved Pom to sleep, advanced kidney disease. She helped me let go and assured me this was the right and only thing to do. I think I've talked to every member of the staff--- you will not find a more devoted and compassionate team.
